The location in a beautiful area was ideal with a market and stores close by, plus the modern, clean room I booked had great toiletries and a view of the park.

The general atmosphere, stylish people, and choice of bars and a superb restaurant all combined with a great location make this hotel a winner.

The hotel is luxurious with extremely friendly and top-notch staff
The room is beautifully decorated and spacious, with a comfortable bed. The location is fantastic, just minutes away from the Flatiron Building. Guests can easily walk to nearby markets and stores

We were very disappointed that having booked 4 months in advance we received a poor rate and were given a dark room under a construction area and next to an elevator. There was no notification either by email or on the website that the roof terrace was closed for renovation during our stay which was one of main reasons for staying there. otherwise, it is a nice hotel...good design but we had a poor room and high rate.

We loved the fragrance of the candles you use--a greeting that lingers. We loved the room with its comfy beds, crystal wine glasses and good light for reading.

Loved our time at Gramercy Park Hotel. The stay was terrific on vacation. The staff were lovely. The room was clean and breathtaking with 2 twin beds. Phenomenal and brilliant location, next to private gardens and restaurant/cafe for breakfast/brunch. Food in the in-house bar was yummy.

The style of this hotel is stunning! Beautiful vibrant colour and style - very unusual, which I love. The bars are gorgeous but very much for the 'beautiful people'. The location is amazing - perfect to walk everywhere in New York.
It seemed very commercial - hotel products to purchase and if you wanted something like a bandaid you had to buy a whole kit for a huge cost. Anything outside of your room cost wasnt cheap - but I guess this is New York and to be expected.

The location is fantastic, with bars, restaurants, and shopping on Park Ave/Broadway, as well as being close to the private Gramercy Park. It's just a short distance to the School of Visual Arts and other tourist attractions.

The hotel was fairly clean, cool, had great and personable staff that cares more about their appearance then their degree of service. Booked queen room, that included a mini bar, a flat-screen TV with cable channels and climate control. The view of the park was pleasant and breakfast was awesome. Location: the property was just next door to the centre of NYC and other neighbourhoods and points.

The location is nice and the hotel has personality. I also loved the works of art and how they are presented. And the breakfast on the terrace. Rooms are typical of a quite old hotel, and lack some postmodern amenities. If you look for a state-of-the-art contemporary business hotel there are other choices. But, having business in the area, I loved the somewhat bohemian experience. I guess ultimately the decision whether to stay here would depend on the willingness to sacrifice certain comforts of modern Hilton-style rooms for the magic of living in a piece of history and of having breakfast facing an Andy Warhol masterpiece.

Truly original and stylish design/decor, an experience in itself to stay there.
We would have liked to be able to make a cup of tea in our room

GPH is an oasis of calm in the busy Flatiron district. It is just across the street from the only private park in the city. The rooms are generous and recently renovated.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
